1980s Repeats of Thriller on UTV (Ulster Television)

Viewers in the Ulster TV region seem to have fared the worst in terms of Thriller repeats with only 30 episodes known to have been broadcast. It had started very promisingly with UTV being only the third region to screen a repeat back on 17th September 1980 (indeed only these three regions - ATV, Grampian and Ulster - showed any repeats before Spring 1981). There was then a five-week wait for the second repeat and then remarkably no more until July 1982 - 21 months later! Although repeats then steadily occurred over the next two years the channel still finished far short of a full set. However the possibility that more were screened can't be ruled out as newspaper sources for this information sometimes omit UTV (and the Scottish channels). Local papers are often better sources for TV details and while these don't suggest any extra screenings up to the end of 1983 they are not available for 1984 and there is a possibility that there may have been some in 1984 as the deadline approached which weren't picked up by the non-local papers.
